The Sunday of the Word of God is a means to help people “reawaken an awareness of the importance of Sacred Scripture for our lives as believers, beginning with its resonance in the liturgy which places us in living and permanent dialogue with God.” During this Year of St. Joseph, take some time to encounter the Word of God in Scripture. Here is a thoughtful ecumenical scriptural experience. Dr. Gary Habermas, an evangelical, who wrote "The Case for the Resurrection" asks the question, "Did any of this really happen?" Learn why the New Testament is a particularly good historical source and why, twenty centuries later, we know the Resurrection is not merely a story, but a unique historical event.
